Books, Games, & Puzzles Swap at Kokua General Store

Kōkua General Store will host its 4th community swap event focused on gently-used books, games, and puzzles. This event promotes reuse, reduces waste, and helps rehome pre-loved items.

Donation Drop-Off Information
Participants are encouraged to drop off gently-used books, games, and puzzles between Friday, June 6 and Friday, June 13 during regular store hours:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

All items must be dropped off prior to the event to allow time for sorting and setup. Swap tickets will be provided at the time of drop-off.

What’s Accepted?
The event welcomes books, games, and puzzles in good, clean condition across all genres and age groups (including keiki items). Items with missing pieces or significant damage (e.g., torn pages, broken spines, stains) will not be accepted. Content with explicit, suggestive, or gory images is also excluded.

Swap Guidelines
There is no limit to the number of items you may donate; however, attendees may take home a maximum of 8 items to ensure fair access for all participants.

Don’t have items to swap? No problem—items will also be available for $1 each, with all proceeds supporting Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation.
